2007 subaru oil and trans filters aren't the same?
According to the dealer, the trans and oil filter are different and even are labelled which is which. Looking at the Amsoil site, they sell only 1 filter for both. What I have read is that the threads are different so you can't interchange them. Anyone
I would contact Amsoil, but would guess it could be due to the type of bypass valve that is in the filter.... Transmission fluid works at a much higher pressure than engine oil.
