How common are these cars in the USA?

I've been informed in the past that Nissan Skylines are rather rare in the USA, so I figured that I'd better check up on some other cars before including them in a story set in the US.

The cars are:
a Lotus Elise
a Mazda RX-7

i see a lot of nissan 350z's and ford mustang cobra's on the road in south carolina
