What does "R" stand for in a spark plug ? and does it matter ?

Ive replaced my old NGK BR7HS spark plug with a B7HS on my Yamaha Neos 50.
The bike isn't starting.
Whats the difference between the plugs ?
Difference between them ? and what does resistor do ?

Resistor.
