Can I still use this muffler on the snowmobile?

I am repairing a touring sled that has been damaged. The AMS tuned-pipe (Polaris part #1261702) has been dented in a couple of places. The engine is a 550cc fan cooled. Is it OK to leave the pipe in? Will it damage the engine being crumpled in? Is

As long as it is not so bad it will cut the exhaust flow down from getting out of the engine you will be fine.
