How is the Subaru Impreza in snow?

Right now I have a 2005 Toyota Echo but I do not think that it is a good car to have in the winter. I live in Calgary and have to drive to Okotoks everyday. Would it be worth paying extra money to get a Subaru Impreza?

Very very good in the snow, I have used an Impreza as a company vehicle for seven years now driving all over the North East of Scotland in all weather and many rough tracks and it has amazed me many a time going places where a poorly driven large 4x4
