2000 isuzu rodeo hydrolocked motor?

This friend of my sister's tells me he needs a starter replaced on his rodeo.. i get there and it just clicked (battery issue).. he said he already replaced the battery.. after i changed his starter the noise was still there.. i tried manually turning

If it hydro locked and wont turn over. Remove the spark plugs and crank it over a few turns to remove water. Check oil and put plugs back in and it should start. And hope for no major damage...............md
